Evening at the Saint Louis Buvette

At the Saint Louis Buvette on the Grossbasel side of the Rhine you can enjoy the wonderful evening mood in a romantic atmosphere far away from the crowds - and treat yourself to something good! Preferably something that the cafés on the other side of the Rhine don’t offer, namely the super-popular fish crispies (Fischknusperli: zander, as well as local freshwater fish such as perch and trout, with delicious “Baslerbrote” sandwiches or large salad bowls. You can choose from perch, plaice or trout and five different homemade sauces, freshly prepared every day. 

New on the menu is kimchi, available either as a kimchi cheese sandwich or kimchi-loaded chips. Also new is a tartine with ajvar and aubergine antipasti, joining the well-known egg tartine and salmon tartine, plus the Longfish burger (pike burger patty with horseradish, salad and fried onions). Many refreshing drinks are home-made and as an alternative to fish there are various salads on the menu.

Plus a beer of the month that is always changing!
